The week started with the Tavistock Cup which is a local event where Lake Nona play Isleworth. On paper Lake Nona (which is my team) had the distinct advantage, especially with the new recruit Ross Fisher. That is very much the way the 2 days played out, Lake Nona ended up winning 17-13 and I won all 3 of my matches becoming the all time leading point scorer in the Tavistock Cup. The course at Isleworth was in fantastic shape and it was the first time we managed to beat them on their home soil.
The rest of the week was all about The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. Unfortunately I missed the cut and The Tavistock Cup proved to be the highlight of the week. I felt really tired on Thursday and Friday and did not feel very sharp on the course. I am also really struggling with my allergies at the moment which made it hard for me on the course.
Missing the cut at Bay Hill means my last chance of getting into The Masters is to win this week at Houston. So after a weekend focused on rest and freshening up I will head to Houston intent on winning the tournament.

As I head into the transitions championship in Tampa I feel pretty good with my game. It'll be great to pick up where I left off at the Honda Classic... My weekend there I felt really calm and comfortable on the course and that led to a great weekend shooting 67 and 64 for 3rd place. The key is to not try and pick up where I left off and try to score low but re-create the mindset I had. I am hitting it well on range and putting is certainly getting better. A total of 49 putts on the weekend at Honda proves that so back to patience and one shot at a time and all that boring stuff that obviously works... I really like the course here in Tampa. It suits good driving of the ball which has been a strength of my game this year. I also have some friends who live in the area who will be cheering me on so hopefully I can feed off the positive vibes....
Will let you know how it goes....

Hi Guys,
Just a quick update to say that I've put the new Taylormade Burner Superfast driver in the bag this week for The Honda Classic. It is the same specs as my Supertri but I just wanted a change after my bad driving stats last week. I'm playing again early Thursday so looking forward to four solid rounds.
