Tour bag update - Phoenix Open

One big equipment change this week I've gone back to a Taylormade Rossa putter after a few tournaments with other putters. Taylormade sent me a prototype that is due in the shops in the next few months, it is a mallet shaped putter with three black lines on the top that really helps me line up the putts. I did some great work over the weekend with the putter at Lake Nona with my mate Paul Mac. It really felt like my putting was back to how it used to be.

Well I'm on the tee early today so let's hope I get out early and post a low number and all the hard work I've done with the putter works!!

Hi Guys,

After being home for a few days I have finally had time to change my tour bag information. Taylormade have brought some awesome new products out over the winter. My new SUPERTRI driver is hitting longer and straighter than ever. I have also put the new R9 TP irons in with the new 2010 grooves that all pro's have to use on tour. I love the feel I get with these and with the new five piece Penta golf ball I feel I have the best combination I have ever had. The new XFT wedges allow me to change the groves myself when ever I want, so these have certainly made the bag for 2010!!

With regard to my footwear, Adidas have two new shoes out, one is called Adidas 360 4.0 and the other Adi Pure. They were named Pure in my mind because they are so Pure looking, make sure you go out and buy a pair before they sell out. As you can also see we have a new tour bag on tour which is a little bigger than last year which my caddie is enjoying carrying! Last but not least my new Adidas eyewear, they are called RETEGO I have added the link so you can go on it and have a look, I helped design them and they are going down really well on the PGA and European Tour with all the players.

I hope this has been helpful and will make sure I update you when I change any of my equipment

All the best

Justin

Just got home from the West coast after what was a long 5 weeks. I left on the 7th January. It felt really good to be home and sleep in my own bed. Wow it's comfortable! Even Leo seemed to sleep much better and appreciate being home!

The golf was nearly very good. I showed signs of some really good golf and generally scored consistently. The missed cut at the Bob Hope Classis I attribute to getting sick on rounds 3 & 4 and missing the cut by 1. Then at the Farmers Insurance Open I played the tough South course which staged the US Open pretty well but only managed -1 on the easier North course. I finished 22nd there.

In LA at Riviera for the Northern Trust Open I had it going after 2 days being in a tie for 4th and shooting probably my best round of the year so far in the relentless rain on Friday. I shot a 67. But the weekend turned out to be frustrating. I was -2 for both rounds after 4 or 5 holes and then made careless mistakes to shoot +2 and +1 on the weekend. I think I ran out of a little gas. I haven't played 4 in a row for a long time.

I think it's great to get some golf in early in the season to really know where your game is at. I'm driving the ball the best I ever have and short game was beginning to sharpen up. I'm probably getting used to the new grooves. The swing started out being great and probably lost its edge after 4 weeks on the road but that is probably to be expected when you're doing a few new things. It's all about putting in repetition to make changes completely natural.

All in all I was hopeful for a little more from the trip but it's a long year and I feel right on track still.

Thanks for following me... Stay tuned this year to see how I progress and move up the rankings!
