18 AUGUST 2010

This is my first week at home for 8 weeks.... And it feels GOOD! Although I spent a few days in my apartment in London, no place feels as relaxing, comfortable and grounding to me as my home here in Florida. This is also the first week I've had to take a breath after a very busy but fun summer which has included 2 wins, my charity golf day, my 30th birthday celebrations, 2 Majors and a World Golf Championship.

Hopefully I can recharge the batteries and get my game firing up again heading into the Fedex Cup Playoffs. It is going to be a busy end of year for me. But an exciting one. I have a great opportunity to do well in the playoffs going into them in my highest ever position but they are designed to favour the player who performs in the playoffs as we compete for 5x as many points as we do during the regular season.

Straight after the play-offs is the potential of the Ryder Cup. That one is out of my hands unfortunately as i'm relying for a wildcard from Monty. I have played some great golf over the last few months and I hope that counts for something, but there are also an unusual amount of great players outside the team also counting on a pick so fingers crossed.

I'm excited to get back out on the Range and short game areas this week to work on my game. The last 8 weeks haven't really afforded me any quality practice time and that has begun to show a little. I'll have to deal with the intense summer heat here in Orlando though! So I'll be out there from 7-9am and again from about 5-8pm. And still sweating!

Bye for now
